A historical re-enactment of Soekarno’s speech when he first introduced the concept of Indonesia’s future foundation philosophy; Pancasila. He delivered the speech June 1st, 1945, before Indonesia’s independence on August 17, 1945.
Pakusadewo delivered his best acting as Soekarno during the whole film and Saroengallo added up the real documentary footage from Indonesia’s long history to show the contradiction reality between Soekarno’s dream and the reality of how the country flow during 70 years of its independence history. Even some off the footage was shot with color, but all documentary footage in this film is shown in the old black and white color footage. Content of this film is very important.
